pu6e win32 test version 4/5/03 ------------------------------ pu6e is the wxpython/opengl port of u6edit (3e8.org/hacks/ultima6). It's still very alpha, and not as featureful or robust as u6edit. I'd like feedback from win32 users at this early stage, though. pu6e requires a 3-D card. My test system is an Athlon XP 1700 and a Matrox G550. Getting started: 1. Edit pu6e.conf. Set "gamedir" to your ULTIMA6 directory. You can also set initial width, height, and zoom if you like. 2. Run pu6e.exe to start. And let me know if it actually works ;) Keys: You need to click in the map window before keyboard input will work. A Toggle animated tiles P Toggle palette rotation O Toggle object display G Toggle grid F Toggle full screen display + Zoom in by 2x - Zoom out by 2x Arrow keys move you by 1 tile, numpad moves you by 8 tiles. You need to turn numlock on for the numpad to work. Known issues: - pu6e will crash if you scroll vertically off the world while objects are displayed. (same with zooming out too far) - Most menus are not connected. - On win32, the display seems to be updating somewhat faster than the intended 20 fps. Let me know if pu6e works for you.
